HSUS et al. v. Armstrong Farms (Egg factory farm water pollution)
Based on evidence of repeated discharges of manure-tainted water in violation of California's Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act and local regulations, The HSUS and a neighbor of Armstrong petitioned the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board to enforce water quality protection standards. After an investigation, the Board found violations and has threatened suit unless Armstrong immediately makes changes to stop polluting local land and waterways.
