Claddie Savage v. Steve Prator (Louisiana cockfighting)
The HSUS filed papers asking the Louisiana Supreme Court to uphold a local law prohibiting cockfighting. The court upheld a Caddo Parish ordinance in January 2006, reversing two lower court decisions that found the ban to be beyond the power of local authorities under the state constitution.
