WASHINGTON - Last night, international superstar and multiple Grammy Award winner Rob Thomas; Marisol Thomas; singer-songwriter Chris Daughtry and singer-songwriter Jason Mraz presented “Rock the House for Animals!” -- a livestream event featuring musical performances, interviews and appearances by special friends of Marisol and Rob Thomas. The event raised over $300,000 to support critical work for all animals, including help for pets and their people impacted by COVID-19.
Highlights from the evening included Rob Thomas’ performance of ‘Her Diamonds,’ ‘Time After Time,’ ‘Lonely No More’ and ‘Little Wonders.’ Chris Daughtry performed ‘As You Are,” ‘Life After You’ and ‘Home.’ Jason Mraz performed ‘Only Human,’ ‘Look For The Good’ and ‘I’m Yours.’
Several celebrities made special appearances - many along with their beloved pets – including Kaley Cuoco, Courteney Cox, Cindy and Carlos Santana, Sammy Hagar, Malin Akerman and Jack Donnelly, Cyndi Lauper, Chazz and Gianna Palminteri, Bo Derek and John Corbett, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, Noah Urrea, Andy Buckley, Carla Gugino, Coco Rocha and Walter Geoffrey the Frenchie.

These grant funds, provided through Mars’ BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program, will be administered by the HSUS to help eliminate pet homelessness. The BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program, which has impacted hundreds of cities across the world, is designed to help communities become more pet-friendly, by supporting and advocating for safe and welcoming shelters that lead to forever homes and helping make more places welcoming to people and pets.
