TAFA 2022 was a huge success, with over 400 attendees joining us in person in Washington, D.C. and another 200 joining online to learn, network and become stronger advocates for all animals! We had nearly 50 table-top exhibits in our exhibit hall featuring both animal-friendly organizations and the Humane Society of the United States programs.

The event concluded with a week of virtual lobbying meetings for attendees to talk with their legislators, encouraging them to support important animal welfare legislation including the Big Cat Public Safety Act, the Humane Cosmetics Act and the Save America’s Forgotten Equines (SAFE) Act.

At TAFA, you can gain a better understanding of the many issues animals face in our society and learn how to take action in your community through lobbying, education and other citizen advocacy. Learn how to enact policies and support legislation to protect animals on the local, state and federal level, plus how to work with community members to further the animal welfare movement.

With the conclusion of the 2022 event, we are looking towards the future and are hard at work planning our next TAFA event. Stay tuned both here and in our Facebook group for important event updates. Be sure to share your excitement with other animal lovers using #TakingActionForAnimals on social media! You can also sign up to be the first to hear about the next TAFA conference and receive a special TAFA registration discount.
