Celebrating Animals

Readers submit their best photos to All Animals magazine

All Animals magazine, May/June 2015

This is 2-year-old Twix, and I am obsessed with taking pictures of him.

It took me a long time to persuade my family to get a dog. But Twix has become a part of our family.

He sleeps in my bed and wakes up with me. He has bundles of energy, so my brother and I take turns running him around our neighborhood twice a day. He’s a real people dog. When we go to the dog park, he pretty much ignores the other dogs and just wants to play with the people. When friends come over, he gets so excited that he shakes and squirms uncontrollably.

More things he loves: chewing socks that you don’t want him to have, exploring new places and getting belly rubs. He’s always ready to play, unless he thinks I’m sad. Then he looks at me with his deep black eyes like, “Are you OK?” He’s the best mood-lifter I have.
