William Hall

Chief Financial Officer

William "Hank" Hall is the chief financial officer of the Humane Society of the United States.

He leads all financial and administrative systems and processes, which include accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, investments, contracting and facilities. 

Prior to joining the fight for all animals, Hall spent 15 years in a variety of senior financial management roles at The Nature Conservancy, where he was most recently vice president of Accounting Methods and Processes and served as interim chief financial officer. Previously, he held roles of increasing responsibility with the global accounting and consulting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he served in the Exempt Organizations Tax Practice and developed his deep appreciation and commitment to mission-driven organizations.

Hall earned his M.S. from the Kogod School of Business at American University, a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland and is a currently licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia. Born in Seaford, Del., he attended international schools in North Africa and Southeast Asia and now resides in northern Virginia with his wife, two children and their lovable rescue dog, Rocky.
